Before coming I was nervous but when I arrived I was already friends with the girls I met at the airport. The Bucksmore staff were amazing and fun, and the students were very friendly. I will never forget the friends I met. In fact, I’m sure I’m never going to forget Bucksmore!
What our students think
Ines (Portugal)Corpus Christi College
Bucksmore!! It was the best experience of my life, the best summer, the best vacation, all because of the people and teachers!! The objective was to learn English, but I learned more than that, I learned that although we were all of different nationalities, we had the same goal: to learn English and meet new people that we will never forget.
Ance (Latvia)Plumpton College
Plumpton is the coolest Bucksmore centre. The classes were great and I met a lot of interesting people who I spent a wonderful time with. We had a lot of activities, excursions, games and sports. Of course we had lessons too which were awesome with the best teachers ever who were so nice and always ready to help trying to make every students experience awesome. It was fun because you always make new friends. My two best friends there were Pedro and Paul. They are from different countries but we used English to communicate. I was the only latvian but I made friends from Italy, Portugal, Austria, France, Egypt, Denmark, Spain, Angola (Africa), Croatia and even from China! Excursions were great fun to London, Brighton, Canterbury and Eastbourne. These were the best two weeks of my life. I miss my good friends and awesome teachers from Plumpton. My greatest wish is to go back next year to have this adventure again and to further improve my English.
It is a perfect adventure for everybody to go to Bucksmore to improve your English!
Maria (Italy)St. Hilda's College
This was my first time with Bucksmore and I found it wonderful and fun. When I arrived I had a good impression, I liked the college a lot. The best day I had was the London trip and Science Museum. Best thing was that I met wonderful people. The lessons were fun and I learnt new words and ways to say things. I found the excursions and activities interesting and fun. I enjoyed the atr choice electives a lot, I’ve done photography. Mr Kuba taught me lots of things I didn’t know, I even made dance with Miss Danielle, where I had lots of fun. My teachers were all really funny and friendly. I had new experience, like visiting Oxford for the first time. I recommend my friends to come to Bucksmore and I hope I’ll come again.
Vittoria (Italy)St. Hilda's College
This is the second year here in Bucksmore. I came here because I wanted to improve my English. I certainly had a great fun. We had a lot of excursions. My favourite one was the London trip! The lessons were very funny and the teachers were so kind and they always helped us!! The best part was the international friendships. I met new people from all over the world and I stayed with them all the time!!! I can’t wait to come back! We love Bucksmore!
Angelina (Germany)St. Hilda's College
Since this was the first time I came to Bucksmore, I was anticipating these two weeks full of excitement! Of course. I feared that I wouldn’t find friends, but there was no need to worry. At the airport I got to know extremely lovely Russian girls. Whom I can call very close friends of mine after experiencing two weeks of adventures and fun together. Everywhere I met nice and interesting people from all around the world; Brazil, Sweden, Italy, Colombia, Vietnam… In the talent show and in my art elective class I saw many talented teenagers. Visit Bucksmore- it was truly amazing!
Isabel (Italy)Corpus Christi College
Last summer I was able to attend the”Young Leaders Programme ” organized by Bucksmore Education at Corpus Christi College in Cambridge and it was amazing! I learned a lot of new things, met new friends coming from all over the world. When I ended my week, I wished I could stay there longer! Anyway I came back home rich of lovely long lasting memories and knowledge. Thank you Bucksmore and Cambridge!
Looking forward to coming next summer again!
Ha My (Vietnam)St. Hilda's College
This is my first time to Bucksmore. It was my first time travelling by myself so I was nervous. However, it was all worth it. I have met so many good and interesting friends. The counsellors were very friendly and helpful. The Arts Choice electives were so much fun. The first week I chose dance and the second week I chose film production. Dancing is my passion and it was so much fun acting and editing the movie in film production. My highlight was performing on the stage in the exhibition and talent show. I loved it! I would totally recommend everyone to come to Bucksmore!
Mia (Canada)St. Hilda's College
This was my first time at Bucksmore. The best parts were when we went on excursions because it really gave us a chance to bond all together outside the college. It felt like we became a family. I would recommend Bucksmore to any of my friends looking for a summer camp! The counsellors were all so nice, the lessons were interesting where you learn a lot of new vocabulary. Bucksmore is one of the best experiences!
Lucia (Mother) (Italy)Plumpton College
Leo’s two weeks experience at Bucksmore Plumpton College was great. He is still enthusiastic and longs for his next year there … Actually, next time He’d like to spend four or at least three weeks at Plumpton..
As regards to his parents’ feedback, the impression is no less enthusiastic for he really improved his formerly poor English skills by learning during the morning classes and by applying his improvements during the extremely funny afternoons. He became far more confident and fluent in speaking and comprehension and we have no doubt in letting him repeating this fantastic experience.
Many thanks to all the staff. Leo appreciated very much his tutors for they’re all so young and cheerful!
Savvoula (Mother) (Greece)Magdalene College
Summer 2016 at Magdalene College in Cambridge was a delightful and astonishing experience for my son thanks to Bucksmore Education. Harry took the Engineering and Science tutorials. He enjoyed every single minute with his professors and classmates-friends. He felt respected and secure. The Bucksmore staff took care of every single detail and I felt comfortable leaving my teenager in good hands to improve his knowledge, independence and make good friends.
Thank you Bucksmore for this unique college experience and for Harry’s two wonderful summer weeks!!!
Milan (Thailand)King's College London
My summer with Bucksmore and the team was absolutely amazing! A very unique experience as I have got to understand and learn about the English culture. I made a lot of new friends with whom I am still in contact with today. We visited great places of history and culture and we had amazing activities such as sightseeing and shopping with plenty of free time to spare. Not to mention the very interesting and innovative lessons with lots to learn and great opportunities to excel. Overall I have to say that I had a very good time during my stay and I definitely will recommend the course to my friends. I also wish I can go back myself!
Marco (Father - summer focus) (Italy)
A deep felt thanks to Bucksmore for making Benedetta’s stay/studying experience absolutely perfect and unforgettable in the UK this summer. Her personalized program, finely tuned with Julian’s precious advice earlier this year has turned out to be very efficient and really tailor made to her needs (i.e. passing the IELTS examination with a good score – actually, she is still waiting for the results!). After 8 weeks she came back to Italy enthusiastic about everything (including the food!) and very much motivated to go ahead with her plans to attend University abroad next year.
Mohamad (father) (Australia)Clare College
I am glad that my decision to send my son Jad to attend Bucksmore summer school was the right decision. Jads’ schooling experience at Bucksmore was the best schooling experience he ever had since he started to attend school. It was an opportunity for him to be away from family yet in a constructive, sound, safe, educative and a friendly environment. He had the opportunity to make friends while enjoying the learning experience. His self confidence level was much higher than before joining Bucksmore.
I take this opportunity to thank Bucksmore education and all the management team and staff for making my son’s experience at Buckmore very beneficial, pleasant and memorable one.
Sergio (Father) (Brazil)Clare College
I think my daughter has experienced excellent quality time both in her English classes and extra activities at Clare College, as well as during her trips out. She has made many great friends and seeing to be very confident now about doing her university abroad. She has definitely matured a lot over the two weeks she spent at Clare College. As a father I’m very delighted with her time and learning at Bucksmore and I’ll send her brother next!
Carla (Italy)Tour of the UK
Bucksmore has been an incredible experience for me! It was my first time here and I loved my programme. We made a tour of the UK and we visited amazing places. I decided to do this experience to improve my English, and at the end I made a lot of friends, including all the staff members! They were all so kind and helpful. Now we’re still in touch and they’re like a second family to me! Before I came to Bucksmore I doubted my English, I was so insecure, and now I can say that this experience helped me a lot with my confidence. I recommend this experience to everyone! I can’t wait to come back next year.
Xander (Netherlands)King's College London
It was great to be studying the London Advanced Studies Program at historic King’s College in the very heart of bustling London. I really enjoyed being with motivated students from many nationalities and had fun during our frequent trips. The new subjects I selected gave me a taste of what university would be like. The whole stay felt like being immersed in London student life. Definitely worth it!
Pedro (Portugal)Plumpton College
I went to Plumpton College for three weeks this summer and I had there the best weeks of my summer! For me Plumpton was a very good choice to spend my summer school holidays! All the people in the college were very friendly and nice and it was very easy to get along with them. My counsellors and teachers were always very helpful and I had lots of fun in my classes. I made friends from countries that I have never thought that I would meet people from, such as Latvia, Iran or Australia. The activities at the camp and the adventure programme was awesome and I had lots of experiences that I will never forget! Speaking with so many people made me improve my English a lot during these weeks. I hope to go back one day, but more importantly, I want to meet all those amazing people again!
Camille (Mauritius)Clare College
I had an amazing experience at Clare College in Cambridge with Bucksmore. Those two weeks were the best I ever had! I made friends from all over the world and I created memories that I won’t forget. I have really improved my English and the classes we had were really cool! We were learning whilst having fun and the counsellors couldn’t be better! We were well taken care of and the accommodation was really good. The excursions and activities were well organised and everyone was always having fun. The fact that we often had free time gave us the opportunity to visit the city and socialise with people. I am really grateful that I had the opportunity to spend two weeks of my summer at Bucksmore and I really hope I can come back.
Ginevra (Italy)Brasenose College
I had a wonderful experience at Brasenose College. The two weeks I spent in Oxford helped me to become more independent, and I now have a clearer idea of what I would like to study in the future. I also made a lot of friends, and I am keeping in contact with most of them.”
Janine (Germany)Brasenose College
OASP was the 3rd summer programme I took part in. Experiencing a student’s everyday life at one of the most beautiful and prestigious universities of Britain was so special. We had time to explore Oxford and go on excursions to other beautiful cities such as London, Warwick or Cambridge. I got to know so many people from various countries, most of them also striving to study at an elite university. This summer was one of the best summers I’ve ever experienced and even strengthened me in my plan to study at the University of Oxford.
Orhun (Turkey)Tour of the UK

Mohamed (Saudi Arabia)Clare College
During my holiday I had the opportunity to join Bucksmore (Cambridge), and I have enjoyed every second of it. I made friends from all over the world, and I had an amazing experience. Bucksmore will be a story to my friends and family for the third time in my life and I hope it won’t be the last. Cambridge see you next year!
Alla (Russia)Corpus Christi College
I really enjoyed staying in the summer school in Cambridge. I find this town very beautiful and I’m keen on having lessons here. All of our teachers are very friendly and we can easily ask them everything we want. There is a cosy and friendly atmosphere here. I’ve been staying for five weeks and I’m strongly believe that I’ve improved my English. For me, it was very interesting to communicate with children from foreign countries. So, I hope I will be able to come here again!
Eyad (Saudi Arabia)Tour of the UK
Thank you Bucksmore for the 3 Capitals programme. I enjoyed it a lot with wonderful friends, great teachers and I enjoyed the time we spent learning about England’s culture, it was really an informative trip. Definitely, I want to come back again to meet you all next year.
Yaser (Father) (Saudi Arabia)
Bucksmore Education has absolutely been an incentive for our children to retain the relationship since the last three years. Among diversified English programmes, Bucksmore has bridged the gap when you have kids in different ages and interests. Our children can gain confidence of interacting with various cultures along with learning English in the summer programmes, special programmes, and the Homelinqua courses. Our children really loved Bucksmore and have progressed a lot, both academically and socially. Thank you again for the great time that our children had at Bucksmore.
Alicia (Germany)King Edward's School
My stay in King Ed’s this summer was amazing! I made a lot of new friends from all over the world and learned about their culture, we had a fantastic time together. Additionally, we visited loads of wonderful cities, went actually swimming in the sea and did different exciting activities every day. There was a good relation between the students and the teachers because of their nice, pleasant and funny attitude. I passed an unforgettable summer there, thank you so much!
Raya (Bulgaria)Magdalene College
The program offers a vast array of course combinations and the two-week curriculum covers the main aspects of the field one wishes to study. The tutors are extremely dedicated to the intellectual development of the students and are prepared to help in any way. What prompted me to apply to the University of Cambridge was the impression my stay left on me with the aura of world class education hovering over the city, with its intricate architecture, combined with the rich historical heritage. I am extremely grateful I had the opportunity to attend and relish my experience as part of the Bucksmore program.
Filippo (Italy)Corpus Christi College
The Young Leaders program helped in one big way. Before I came here, I wasn’t so sure of myself and more generally, I had a lack of self-confidence. However, when I got here, something changed. Because of the family approach of the counsellors who are always very kind and helpful, the teachers that always encourage you even when you have no ideas or when you make mistakes, and the activity managers, who always organize fantastic activities, I suddenly felt at home. Thanks to it, I’ve learnt a lot of English but not only have I gained self-confidence, I have also learned how to work in groups, to be organised and to be on time. To summarise, I’ve learned how to be a young leader!
Edwin (China)Corpus Christi College
Honestly when I first got here, I didn’t think I would’ve met all of my friends. Even though many of them have left, I still talk to them. This camp was by far the best decision I have ever made. All my friends that I have met in this camp will be very special in my life, and I am really happy that I made the decision to join this camp. All my friends here were very nice and welcoming when I first got here, and we had a really great time together. This camp gave us the opportunity to meet each other, and I am really thankful for that. The last day is always the hardest day not wanting to leave!
Caroline (Germany)Corpus Christi College
At Bucksmore Young Leaders I especially enjoyed the law project. Solving our own case, preparing for the trial in a real British court, and leading the project group as a Project Manager was exciting, challenging, and it taught me so much about leadership in real life.
Maria (Spain)Corpus Christi College
It was my first time at a summer camp abroad and I really enjoyed my time with the Bucksmore team and the other children from around the world. It was a great experience, we had a lot of fun and I learnt a lot. I’m looking forward to meeting them all again next summer
Fiona (Germany)Corpus Christi College
During my time on the Young Leaders program I really enjoyed working on the law project. Our team was multinational, so we learned a lot about each other’s home countries. I made many new friends during my two week stay and I really hope we will see each other again.
Nice (Turkey)Corpus Christi College
Bucksmore has been a really great experience for me. We visited wonderful places, shops castles. All of the staff members were great and they were like our friends at the same time. I made lots of friends and I am still in contact with them. People were great and I don’t even need to talk about the accent…Who does not love the British accent?! I improved my English level and learned new vocabulary words. Talking English all day helped to improve it a lot. I advise everyone to go to Bucksmore and I definitely will again.
Hugo (Portugal)Corpus Christi College
My experience in Cambridge, with the Bucksmore team is something never to be forgotten. I can say it was the most exciting and unforgettable experience ever in my life. I met awesome people, Italian, Russian, Brazilian, Swiss, Serbian, etc. All of them became good friends and I still talk a few with them. Believe me, the worst day of the course is for sure the last one, and you know what I mean…… The first days are the ones you become more shy, because if you go alone, as I did, you don’t know nobody from before!!! However, after a few days I felt completely integrated with the community. The activities are really well organized, going to bowling, going to an amusement park and lots of other things. Cambridge is also a beautiful place to be in this kind of context. Therefore, If you have the chance to go, don’t think twice!!
Vincent (France)Plumpton College
I went three times to Bucksmore Plumpton and it was each time an incredible moment ! I met several times the same people and even the same teachers. They are all very friendly. Even though we live far from each other, we can stay in touch throughout the year. I spend two weeks there every summer and it was every time an unforgettable moment with great people!
Paula (Spain)Corpus Christi College
At the beginning, i was afraid that i wouldn’t be able to fit in, but I was completely wrong. I met wonderful people with whom I’m really good friends now, and who I do really love and care for. Being at Bucksmore is an amazing experience. It gave me the privilege of having freedom during my summer at Cambridge, and it has helped me with maturing in some way.
It did also helped me in clearing my mind, and helping me decide if this was the place I really wanted to study in, England. And the answer is definitely YES!!!!!
Since then, I can i say I’ve fallen in love with Cambridge, and many of the other marvelous places we visited.
Being at Bucksmore is, for sure, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for a summer plan. I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Tina (Greece)Corpus Christi College
My personal experience at Corpus Christi, Cambridge was unforgettable! I really had a great time those two weeks abroad! Not only did I come in contact with other guys of my age, but I also learnt a lot during the lessons (which were not boring at all!!!) and the excursions too! Everything was amazing and I hope next year I can come back! Thank you!
Florence (Mauritius)Clare College
The two weeks I spent in Cambridge were perfect!
Thanks to the Cambridge Advanced Study Program, I made friends from all over the world and we still communicate.
On top of that, being in touch with different cultures and developing economical skills with the best Cambridge tutors was something I really appreciated. Bucksmore gave me an overview of the university life and gave me the knowledge required to go to top universities. Indeed, the Macro & Micro Economics and the International Business Management courses were extremely interesting. We did many case studies and we were in very small groups. That helped us to interact and ask many questions to the tutors.
The University of Cambridge is a place full of joy and very safe. All the Bucksmore students had a lot of independence so we could have fun with friends in the town.
The meals, the sports activities, the games, the expeditions and the workshops were all well organised and exciting. I can feel this summer school made me more confident and it will surely be easier to go to university after this amazing experience.
Anda (Romania)Corpus Christi College
My summer with Bucksmore was amazing and very interesting as I learned a lot of new things about the English culture. I made a lot of new friends, we visited great places and we had amazing activities and very interesting lessons. I had a very good time during my journey.
Tiago (Portugal)Corpus Christi College
Bucksmore was maybe the best experience I’ve ever had on my life! I must confess that, at the start I was a bit unsure whether to go or not because I´ve always been a bit shy and I didn´t know anybody there, but as soon as I arrived I realized that I had made the right choice!
The place was amazing and beautiful, the teachers and all the staff were always there to help and we were provided with lots of fun activities and trips! I simply loved Bucksmore and it was there where I met the people who today I call best friends!
I recommend it to everyone!
Laura (Italy)Corpus Christi College
This experience on Bucksmore was something really new for me! I met a lot of people that I will never forget about. The atmosphere here is always fun and happy. You are always surrounded by amazing people. In this program I discovered a lot of new things, new places, new skills, and I have learnt so much.
Phillip (Germany)Corpus Christi College
Bucksmore is one of the best experiences that I have ever had. Even though we come here to learn English, we ended up learning tons of different languages and cultures. The excursions are amazing, and the activities are so much fun! I hope I can repeat this experience next year.
TJ (China)Corpus Christi College
My name is TJ. I was at Bucksmore for two weeks. I deeply feel the benefits of being here. The college had very nice rooms, good food and an attractive lawn. It made me feel great about the excursions, lessons and activities. I could play different sports like basketball, tennis and football. There was a lot of space and the environment was comfortable. So, I hope that next year I can come back to Bucksmore. Thank you.
Elizabeta (Russia)Corpus Christi College
At Bucksmore I met a lot of different international students who became my close friends. Everyone was friendly, kind, interesting and pleasant. I know I am going to miss all my new friends from here, and also my teachers because people at Bucksmore were very friendly. The teachers made the lessons interesting and unforgettable. I really liked this place and I will miss it very much. I’ve improved my English and found a lot of wonderful friends. Thank you Bucksmore. I am going to miss you!
Hiroyasu (Japan)Corpus Christi College
I’m enjoying life here. When I’m in Japan, I don’t have the chance to contact foreigners and communicate with them. But now, I have a lot of friends to study English with. All the teachers are great because they have a good sense of humour, so I always enjoy lessons. I enjoy everything here. Staying here makes me really grow up.
Shayan (Netherlands)Corpus Christi College
My time at Corpus Christi was a most wonderful one. I have met lots of amazing personalities which belong to the most fascinating people who will undoubtedly be our future leaders. I could write an entire thesis about my great adventures with Bucksmore. Thank you Bucksmore!
Madalena (Portugal)King Edward's School
This year at King Edward’s I met so many different people, and had so many different experiences that I’ll never forget! The places we visited were “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, and the staff were helpful and kind with everyone, and they always made us laugh. King Ed’s was definitely an experience I’d like to repeat.
Anna (Austria)Corpus Christi College
The Bucksmore Young Leaders programme was the further summer school I have attended and it was definitely the most enjoyable one. Not only the programme itself, also the friendly staff, the great atmosphere of Cambridge and the international students made my stay unforgettable.
Debora (Brazil)Corpus Christi College
I’ve been here for two weeks and I’m having a great time. I’m learning a lot about the British culture and I’m speaking a lot of English with my new friends. Here in Bucksmore we meet people from all over the world and learn about their culture. Our teachers here are the best. It doesn’t even seem that we are having classes, because we really have a great time.
