This week at Bucksmore we have had lots of excitement. In our excursions, we traveled to Cantebury and saw the awe-inspiring cathedral. In London, we discovered all of the classic sights – the London Eye, Westminster and Big Ben (which we discovered is the name of the bell inside the tower, and not actually the tower!). At Buckingham palace, we learned all about the royal family, and then on the bus home we had some deep dives into all the drama that surrounds them.
Our activities on-site were fun as well – we played games, won prizes and took part in nail-biting competitions. In class, the students created spooky ghost films and hilarious newspaper articles about the center. Mr Nino was reported as a crazed Taylor Swift fan (not too far from the actual story!).
Our Bucky Adventurers learned to sail, climbed to dizzying heights and were much braver than any of the staff that accompanied them. They learned how to face their fears and help each other through difficult moments while on the adventures.
Overall, this week has been full of adventure, fun and new experiences for everyone
