St Hilda’s College, Week Three
Week 3 at St Hilda’s has seen the students engage in another packed week of fun excursions and activities. The students once again unlocked their competitive side, participating in sports activities, quizzes, and a mini-Olympics just before the real ones begin.
We have also run some more artsy activities for those with a more creative brain, with origami in particular leading to some great creations that are being displayed in our centre for all to enjoy. Our week of excursions began with an opportunity for the students to explore Oxford and take in the sights the city has to offer. Portsmouth and London allowed us to learn about the history of the British navy, with students hopping on board the HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, Cutty Sark, and what remains of the Mary Rose.
We also went to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, the location of the Prime Meridian, where the Eastern and Western hemispheres are separated. We are all excited to see what next week is going to bring, and are sure that it will prove to be another success!
