d’Overbroeck’s College, Week Two
The students at d’Overbroecks had a wonderful second week here at the Centre! Excursions were exciting, including a visit to Oxford Castle and Prison, learning about the interesting history of prisons in the UK, and a group visit to London this Sunday, where we were lucky enough to have a tour around the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace!
Study in Actions this week included a trip to Bletchley Park for the ‘Computer Science and AI’ students, and an exciting Business Retail walking tour for the ‘Business Entrepeneur’ students! The Study in Action trips were enjoyed across the board, and a real hit with the students!
The students really enjoyed an extra special activity this week, named ‘Counsellor’s Court’, where they got to put counsellors on trial for various silly things they did (or did not do) during the students stay so far! Karaoke was sung, whipped cream was splatted… even BAKED BEANS were poured on counsellor’s heads!
The students also enjoyed a walking tour of London, seeing all the incredible sites it offers and learning fun and interesting facts from their counsellors along the way! London was definitely the highlight of the week here at d’Overbroecks! The students especially enjoyed some time browsing the array of shops at Covent Garden!
