Our first week together is nearly over, we welcomed almost 80 students to our Bucksmore Kings College campus this week and what a week it has been! The students were keen to mingle and get to know each other, our first activity was Round the world, where students created a banner that represented all our cultures and celebrated our differences.
Our students took off on their first excursion to the Tower of London, they explored the different rooms where you can learn about the crown jewels and the traditional use of the Towers. After the tower of London our young performers headed over to the West End to watch Six the Musical.
Terry, our IELTS specialist… (and chief trash fashion designer) put together a showstopper of an activity. Students and staff all enjoyed making couture outfits from craft supplies.
On Friday after a full day in the classroom working on their projects or training with the West end on Demand program, we all walked the catwalk during trash fashion. Excursion day on Saturday was filled with lots of shopping and a tour of Christ Church in Oxford, many students came back with plenty of extra bags and gifts for family!
Our students had the option to sign up for the Thameside walking tour where they could have every opportunity to take the classic tourist pictures to send home to mum and dad!
We are all looking forward to what next week brings!
