King’s College London, Week Four
The students at King’s College London enjoyed an exciting and varied week filled with educational and cultural activities. The week began with a Royal & Politics Walking Tour, where they explored some of London’s most iconic sites. The tour likely included visits to landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace, offering a rich narrative on the UK’s political history and the British monarchy’s influence.
Midweek, the group took a trip to Brighton, a vibrant seaside city renowned for its eclectic charm. A highlight of this excursion was a ride on the British Airways i360, a unique observation tower that lifts visitors 162 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, students were treated to stunning panoramic views of the coastline and cityscape, providing a memorable experience of Brighton’s beauty.
As the week drew to a close, the students visited Buckingham Palace, where they toured the State Rooms. This visit provided a rare glimpse into the lavish interiors where official ceremonies and receptions are held, enriching their understanding of royal life and tradition.
Back on campus, the academic side of the week culminated with project presentations. This was an opportunity for students to showcase their research, creative projects, or group efforts, demonstrating the knowledge and skills they had developed. It was a chance for them to articulate their ideas and findings, receiving feedback and recognition for their hard work.
For those studying Performing Arts, the week ended on a high note with a final showcase at the Dominion Theatre. This iconic venue in the heart of London offered a professional stage for students to perform and display their talents. It was a fitting conclusion to their studies, allowing them to experience the thrill and professionalism of performing in a prestigious theatre setting.
