St Hilda’s College, Week Five
The St Hilda’s group have had another great week of activities and excursions! We started the week off with some team-building and arts activities, with students doing some excellent drawings of their Activity Leaders and Counsellors.
Our first excursion of the week took us on a punting trip along the River Cherwell in Oxford, where students got a taste of the culture of the city. We went to Windsor for our second excursion, where the students got time to explore one of the Royal Family’s main places of residence, Windsor Castle.
On our London excursion this week we went to the Natural History Museum and Kensington Palace, and the students made their own Top Trumps cards at the museum that they then presented to the group in the evening.
Our Friday activity was a rendition of the popular British TV show ‘Taskmaster’, where the students completed various challenges from the show, such as building the tallest tower with spaghetti and marshmallows, or throwing a teabag in a mug from the furthest distance.
Our ‘Counsellor’s Court’ activity allowed the students to get their own back on their teachers and Activity Leaders, creating crimes we had committed and giving us forfeits for them, such as being egged or having a tin of beans poured over us.
We ended the week with a karaoke party that brought the students together one last time before we say goodbye to many of them.
