What a whirlwind of a week it’s been! From computers to castles, the students have had it all this week – and then some.
We kicked things off with a deep dive into Oxford’s History by visiting Oxford Castle and Prison, where stories of ghosts and escapes gave us chills – hinting towards an activity coming soon. Back on campus, things got chaotic in the best way possible – with Bucksmore’s Taskmaster, where students competed in the most wonderfully wacky challenges to take home a sweet prize.
There was no shortage of brainpower either – the Big Bucksmore Quiz brought out friendly rivalry among the kids, while movie night gave them the perfect chance to relax following a long excursion day.
Midweek, students donned their hi-vis and helmets to tour an active construction site, gaining real-world insight for their ongoing group project: designing a rehabilitation centre for Paralympians.
The week drew to a close on a high note, as the students paddled through the peaceful waters of Cambridge. Combined with a walking tour delivered by our engaging staff, we brought the colleges to life, while also balancing the kids’ unending need for shopping.
And, of course, no week would be complete without a creative touch – students spent time making beaded bracelets and origami frogs, crafting memories to take home.
From laughter to learning, this week has been jam-packed. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next week.
