Our fourth and final centre for Bucksmore Summer 2025 has officially opened!
Our D’Overbroeck’s students have certainly enjoyed a jam-packed first week of activities! After arrivals and starting their introductory classes, our Young Professionals spent a sunny afternoon punting on the rivers of Oxford and taking in the sights before returning back to school for an exciting evening of teamwork and rule-bending challenges with Taskmaster. They showed their competitive side in all things silly: tossing teabags, building spaghetti towers and searching for a hidden activity counsellor!
Halfway through the week saw the group leaving Oxford behind for a day out at Bletchley Park and Central London. Movie-making, code-breaking, and exploring construction in action all showed what a career in their chosen industry could look like.

Another high-energy evening allowed our students to explore their creative side with a ‘Trashion show’: upcycling office supplies and unorthodox materials into high-end looks. The real show-stopper was definitely a paper and tape wedding dress!

They then relaxed from a week of hard work in and out of class with a trip to Thorpe Park. Whether riding the rollercoasters, trying to win a huge prize at the carnival games or having some amazing ice cream, they definitely had a blast! So much enthusiasm in and out of class has been amazing to see and we cannot wait to see all that next week has to offer!
