Bucksmore’s 46th Summer is underway and the first week has come to a close already! And what a week it has been; new faces, familiar faces, staff inductions, student arrivals, gathering everyone together for another great start of summer. We began getting to know each other through activities, playing some Speed Friending and Human Bingo! The next day we had Tests and Inductions, a very necessary aspect of our courses to ensure our students know how to navigate our centres, meet expectations and know their level of English to inform their learning.
And off to the first excursion! St. Paul’s Cathedral was very mesmerizing, and it was a great chance to take some nice photos from the top of the dome. Thursday and Friday were busy days filled with lessons, projects and activities, finished with a chill afternoon at the park.
Onwards towards the weekend! Saturday was a day full of thrill and adventure, as we set off early to Thorpe Park, and our students were able to enjoy themselves going up rollercoasters, throwing basketballs and winning huge prizes, among many other fun things.
Sunday and Monday kicked off with more lessons with our great teachers, and in the afternoons, we had a very educational visit to the Natural History Museum and a wonderful walking tour that encompassed Westminster Palace and Cathedral, St. James Park, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.
