Bucksmore Young Professionals Programme
It’s been an inspiring and action-packed second week at Bucksmore Young Performers at Kings College London, with students across Business, Medicine, Graphics, and Performing Arts pathways continuing to immerse themselves in learning, creativity, and fun!
This week, all students – regardless of their subject – took part in a lively drama workshop. Through freeze frame exercises and short devised performances, they explored storytelling and team-building in a fun, supportive environment. Even those who don’t usually take drama rose to the occasion with confidence and enthusiasm.
The ever-popular “Battle of the Brains” brought everyone together for a fast-paced, team-based quiz – full of energy, laughter, and a touch of friendly competition.
Each academic group also delved deeper into their specialist subjects with exciting enrichment activities. Our Business students explored London’s Financial District, learning about global markets, economic hubs, and the real-world impact of finance and commerce.
Medicine students took part in a thought-provoking industry workshop, working together to develop a new drug. This hands-on session challenged them to think critically and scientifically while simulating a real-world medical innovation process.
Our Graphics students had an inspiring visit to the Museum of Brands, where they explored the evolution of packaging, branding, and consumer culture – offering valuable insights into visual communication and design history.
Meanwhile, Performing Arts students had an unforgettable experience at Shakespeare’s Globe, enjoying a behind-the-scenes tour and a fantastic live performance of Clueless – a clever, modern adaptation that had everyone buzzing with excitement.
To top it all off, all students visited Covent Garden, soaking in live street performances, and vibrant culture of this iconic London destination.
It’s been a week of growth, discovery, and unforgettable memories – and I’m so sad I’m leaving camp at the end of this week. But I wish everyone the best for the future.
