Week 1 is off to a great start for Bucksmore Summer 2025! It has been an exciting and eventful week for our students, filled with learning, exploration, and new friendships. After arriving on campus, everyone quickly adapted despite the unusual British hot weather.
By Tuesday evening, students were confidently socialising and making lasting connections with young people from all over the world. On Wednesday, the group enjoyed an educational trip to the Oxford History Museum, followed by some shopping in the city.
Thursday’s excursion to London was another highlight of the week, where students visited the iconic St. Paul’s Cathedral and the historic Tower of London — a truly memorable experience for everyone.
In the classroom, after initial assessments, students began working on a special project: creating their own movie. They showed great enthusiasm and creativity, collaborating closely on scripts, acting, and filming. We are all looking forward to watching their final productions during the screening on Monday evening!
Saturday featured a fun sports day at Meadow Field, giving students the chance to enjoy some friendly competition and outdoor activities. Finally, on Sunday, students had a relaxing day to spend time together, with shopping in the morning and a cinema trip in the afternoon.
Overall, it has been fantastic to see the students so engaged and involved in all aspects of the programme. We look forward to another week full of new adventures and achievements coming up!
