Bucksmore’s 46th Summer has officially begun! It’s been a wonderful first week at OICB Bucksmore, and the students have made a fantastic start to both their lessons and residential life.
In class, they’ve shown great enthusiasm and curiosity, settling in quickly and engaging fully with their learning. Outside the classroom, it’s been a busy and exciting week. Students enjoyed a trip to Brighton where they took part in a walking tour and explored the shops. We also ventured into London for a scenic Thameside walk and visited the stunning St Paul’s Cathedral — a highlight for many!
Our older students had a thrilling day out at Thorpe Park, while the younger ones had just as much fun at Chessington World of Adventures. On-site, students have been active and sociable, playing lots of sport and getting involved in a wide range of activities.
A whole-group version of the TV show Taskmaster brought lots of laughs and teamwork, and our British-themed quiz night tested everyone’s general knowledge in true ”pub” quiz style! Welcome games at the start of the week helped everyone settle in to start forming great friendships.
It’s been a fun, full week – and the energy and positivity across campus have been brilliant to see. We’re so proud of how well everyone has adjusted and look forward to even more adventures next week!
