Bucksmore Young Professionals Programme
That’s a wrap on an unforgettable first week! From the moment the group arrived, the energy was sky-high. They jumped right into a whirlwind of exciting London excursions, engaging academic sessions and new friendships. The week was a perfect blend of learning, laughter and adventure. It really set the tone for an incredible two weeks ahead!

Our Young Professionals kicked off the week with a scenic Thameside Walking Tour, taking in some of London’s most iconic sights including St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe and more! The adventure continued as we boarded a river cruise just in time to catch the city at sunset hour. With stunning views from both land and water, it was an unforgettable way to experience London.
On Thursday, each subject group participated in a practical workshop relating to their specialist areas. The medicine students visited a simulation suite, where they learned how to manage acutely ill patients and practiced emergency treatments like asthma attacks and anaphylaxis on a simulated patient. Business students explored London’s historic and modern Financial District, the heart of global finance. The graphics students had a visit to an award-winning brand and design consultancy, where they gained insight into development and marketing.

It’s wonderful to see how well they’ve settled in and the new friendships that have begun to flourish. I am so proud of how they are applying themselves in their classes and stepping outside of their comfort zones. I can’t wait to see what next week has in store!
