The entire group shared an unforgettable week packed with history, creativity, and real teamwork.
On Wednesday, we took a half‑day excursion to Oxford Castle & Prison. During our guided tour, students climbed more than 100 narrow steps to reach St George’s Tower, descended into the candlelit 900-year-old crypt beneath the former chapel, explored the prison wings, and then stood atop the motte‑and‑bailey mound for sweeping views over Oxford. Everyone took turns leading discussions, asking thoughtful questions.
On Thursday, we visited Windsor Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the world. Despite the overcast skies, the students explored the lavish State Apartments, admired Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House—with its functioning plumbing and miniature books—and strolled along the famous Long Walk. A few in the group helped weather-proof the day by leading others to indoor shelters during rain, and the taste of warm drinks lifted spirits between rooms.
Back at school on Friday, teams turned their ideas into short film presentations: students scripted scenes, performed parts, designed sets, and edited the final cut. Each group integrated creative vision and logical planning, and when one team faltered, others offered help—demonstrating natural leadership, mutual respect, and collaboration.
Sunday brought us to London for a full-day exploration. At the Natural History Museum, the group gasped at “Hope”, the blue whale skeleton suspended in Hintze Hall and spent time in the Darwin Centre’s interactive science zones exchanging facts and observations. In the afternoon we toured Kensington Palace and its beautiful Sunken Garden, before walking down Kensington High Street where students browsed for souvenirs, shared snacks, and chatted happily together.
The week was busy, sometimes damp, but always rewarding. Our students contributed ideas, energy, and encouragement each day. They helped each other shine and turned each visit into shared memories.
