Who’s behind every email I send?
Somewhere between your first Google search for summer schools and hitting “submit” on your application form, you might wonder: does anyone actually read this?
The answer is yes… and we want to prove it. Applying to summer school can feel like sending your hopes into a void: a form here, emails back and forth, and then… waiting for the summer to start. Behind every application is a real team of people who genuinely care about staying in touch, finding the best programme for each child, and ensuring every student arrives prepared and leaves inspired. Our admissions team reads every application with fresh eyes, because they know that behind every form is a student with something real to offer.
With less than 4 weeks until Bucksmore Summer 2026 starts, we thought it was time to introduce ourselves!
Meet the Summer School Admissions Team at Bucksmore
You’ll often find me at the airport on arrival and departure days, helping students and staff travel to and from our wonderful centres.
Transfer Tuesdays are one of my favourite parts of the job We are often the first friendly faces that students and families meet at Bucksmore. While many students arrive feeling shy or nervous, its lovely to see them quickly start chatting, making new friends, and getting to know their centre staff.
On departure days, the emotional goodbyes and big hugs between students are always so touching – its a clear sign of the amazing experience and friendships they’ve built during their time with us.
I look forward to meeting many of you this summer and hope you have a truly wonderful experience!
I’ll be here throughout the summer to support you and help with any questions you may have before and during your programme.
I know preparing for a summer school experience can feel both exciting and a little overwhelming, so I’m always happy to help with anything from course information and travel arrangements to general questions about student life at Bucksmore.
Most importantly, I hope all of our students have an amazing summer, make lots of new friends from around the world, grow in confidence, and create memories they will never forget.

Having previously been an Activity Leader at summer schools, I understand how students can feel being away from home and adapting to a new environment and new people, even if it is for a short while. I imagine it can be just as difficult for the parents hoping their children are settled and enjoying their experiences. Whatever my colleagues and I can do to help ease any stress, we are at hand to answer questions.

In fact, our students often become so absorbed in the Bucksmore experience that they sometimes even forget to call home! So, if all you need is someone to gently remind your son or daughter to check in with Mum and Dad, I’m more than happy to help.
