As our second week at Bucksmore KCL comes to an end, it has been another set of exciting few days filled with unforgettable experiences, cultural exploration and plenty of opportunities for students on both our Intensive English and IELTS Preparation programmes to use their English in real-life situations.
Out & About in London and Cambridge
We started the week with a visit to the famous Borough Market, where students explored one of London’s oldest food markets and sampled a variety of delicious dishes from around the world. From sweet treats to international street food, it was a fantastic opportunity to experience London’s vibrant food culture while discovering new flavours.
One of the biggest highlights of the week was our full-day excursion to Cambridge. Students enjoyed learning about the city’s rich history and its world-famous university, which has educated some of history’s greatest scientists, writers and influential figures. The visit was made even more memorable with a traditional Scudamore punting tour along the River Cam, offering stunning views of the historic colleges from the water and giving everyone the chance to experience one of Cambridge’s most iconic traditions.
Back in London, students also visited the magnificent Buckingham Palace State Rooms, gaining an insight into royal life while exploring the beautifully decorated rooms used by the Royal Family for official ceremonies and events.
Academic and Crafty Achievements
A huge congratulations goes to all of our IELTS Preparation students, who completed their final IELTS examination this week. Their commitment and hard work throughout the programme has been outstanding, and we wish every student the very best as they take the next step towards their academic and personal goals.
Our evening activities ended the programme on a creative note with a Tote Bag Making Workshop. Students designed and decorated their own tote bags, producing some fantastic artwork and showcasing an impressive range of creativity. The finished designs made wonderful keepsakes to remember their time in London.
As we say goodbye to another incredible group of students, we would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm, positivity and willingness to embrace every opportunity throughout their time at Bucksmore KCL. We hope they leave with greater confidence in their English, unforgettable memories of London and Cambridge, and experiences that will stay with them long after the programme has finished. Our team is looking ahead for our second cohort due to arrive this Tuesday!
