As we begin another exciting week at Bucksmore, we were delighted to welcome a new group of students from across the globe. With arrivals from Russia, Japan, Italy, Turkey and many more countries, our campus has once again been filled with new friendships, different cultures and plenty of excitement for the adventures ahead.
A Royal Tour, Discovering Portsmouth, and the World Cup
Our first excursion of the week took us to the beautiful Kensington Palace. Students enjoyed exploring the historic royal residence while learning about its fascinating history, before wandering through the stunning Kensington Gardens. With the summer sunshine making an appearance, everyone appreciated a well-earned ice cream as they relaxed in one of London’s most picturesque parks.
Back on campus, the excitement continued as we followed the final stages of the FIFA World Cup. Students gathered together throughout the week to watch the biggest matches, culminating in a fantastic World Cup Final. It was a brilliant opportunity for students from different countries to share their passion for football, cheer on their teams and enjoy the electric atmosphere together.
Our full-day excursion saw us travel to the historic city of Portsmouth. Students stepped aboard HMS Victory, one of the world’s oldest commissioned naval ships, where they discovered its incredible role in British history and gained an insight into life at sea during the age of sail. After exploring the ship, everyone had time to enjoy the waterfront at Gunwharf Quays, taking in the sea views, browsing the shops and making the most of the lively atmosphere.
Iconic Skylines
To round off another fantastic week, we visited the iconic Tower Bridge. Students admired breathtaking panoramic views across London’s skyline before putting their knowledge to the test in a fun and interactive quiz. It was the perfect way to reflect on everything they had learnt throughout the week while creating even more unforgettable memories with friends from around the world.
With another week of learning, exploration and cultural exchange complete, we can’t wait to see what adventures next week will bring!
