Sadly, our final week at Bucksmore has come to an end, and what an unforgettable week it has been. It has been filled with exciting excursions, wonderful memories and emotional goodbyes as we celebrated everything our students have achieved over the summer.
Taking in the Sights on Excursions
One of our final trips took us to the historic city of Oxford. Students explored its charming streets before visiting the magnificent Christ Church College, one of the university’s most famous colleges. They admired the impressive architecture and learned about the fascinating history of both the college and the city, making it a fantastic opportunity to experience one of the UK’s most iconic destinations.
Back in London, we continued our cultural adventures with visits to some of the capital’s world-famous museums. At the British Museum, students travelled through thousands of years of history, discovering treasures such as Egyptian mummies, the Rosetta Stone and incredible artefacts from ancient civilisations. We also visited Tate Modern, where students explored contemporary artworks by internationally renowned artists while enjoying stunning views across London’s skyline from the gallery.
Another favourite excursion was our visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium. Walking beneath the ocean tunnels, students came face-to-face with sharks, graceful rays, colourful tropical fish and playful penguins. It was an exciting experience that gave everyone the chance to discover marine life from around the world.
Celebrating Students’ Graduation
The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our Graduation Ceremony. It was a wonderful celebration of our students’ hard work, achievements and personal growth throughout their time at Bucksmore. Seeing everyone receive their certificates was a proud moment for both students and staff.
To round off the summer, we celebrated with our farewell party. There was music, dancing, laughter and plenty of photos, but also many tears as friends said goodbye after forming such strong bonds over the past few weeks.
It has been an absolute pleasure to spend the summer with such an incredible group of young people from across the world. Their enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to embrace every opportunity have made this a truly special experience. We hope they leave with improved English, lifelong friendships and memories they will treasure for years to come. Thank you for making this summer so unforgettable, and we wish every student safe travels and every success in the future.
