Our most popular adult English course perfect for students who are looking to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Our full range of immersion courses are designed to help students make the maximum progress possible during their course.
Outside of lessons and trips, our adult students have independent leisure time – a perfect opportunity for students to explore the local area at their own pace or visit attractions further away.
Study individually or travel with a friend or partner on a 2:1 course.

Meet our teachers

Catherine W
Catherine W lives in Sandwich with her son and friendly dog called Mabel. She holds a CELTA qualification and has over 15 years in hosting homestay students from all over the world, and of all ages and abilities. She has also previously worked as a Medical Secretary. She lives in a beautiful Victorian home only a 2 minute walk from the train station, and a 5 minute walk from the town centre which has many restaurants, shops and a cinema.

Margaret H
Margaret H is based in Wendover, just 45 minutes by train northwest of London, located in an area of designated natural beauty called the Chiltern Hills. Margaret holds a CELTA qualification and has worked with Bucksmore for nearly 10 years. She lives in a beautiful home on a quiet, residential road, with her husband Chris. Margaret's hobbies include tennis, sailing, cycling, theatre, and walking and bird watching in the countryside.

Antonella A
Antonella A lives in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, in a beautiful home with a garden. She has hosted a large number of courses with us including students of all ages, nationalities and abilities, and is CELTA qualified. The area is surrounded by the beautiful South Downs with many shops, cafes and restaurants only a short walk away in the centre of the town. London is under 60 minutes away for taking day trips, however nearby is also the beautiful city of Brighton on the British coast.

There are a range of course options available to adult students centred around English language, whether that be improving fluency and understanding in spoken English or preparing for an English exam.
Our tutors tailor each course to the individual student based on their needs and interests with the ultimate aim developing a student’s confidence in using English and their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary in a natural setting.

Our standard English Immersion course is designed specifically with adult students in mind. This is a perfect course for learners who are looking to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills whilst receiving an exciting and unique cultural experience.
Exam Preparation
Our intensive exam preparation courses deliver results rapidly by personalising the course to your academic needs and exam goals. Our exam specialist teachers can help you prepare for English exams as well as university and work exams.
Bucksmore Home Tuition can also arrange for you to take the exam at the end of your course for an additional fee. Exam fees are usually costed at £190, but please check with a member of the team for full confirmation.
