Students will gain valuable coding skills in this course, led by coding experts, Software Academy. The course will provide an introduction to Python by exploring what can be created through coding in a variety of tutor-led projects. Once students have mastered the basics they will put their new skills to the test by creating their own racing game.

Led by Software Academy, students will get an introduction to one of the most desirable skills for future employers.
Students will learn through hands-on and real-time collaborative coding to code a racing game using the programming language Python. Students will cover the key foundations of programming.
The course is composed of 15 hours of subject-specific content, PLUS 4 hours of leadership and life skills classes, PLUS 1 expert guest speaker from your chosen field.
Why learn Python?
Python is a general-purpose programming language so can be used for anything from web development to analysing or visualising data. It is a great first programming language as it is easy to read and is widely used.
Software Academy was established in 2016, by Ali Nemati, a university lecturer with more than 15 years of experience. The objective of the company is to teach creative technology to adults & children and to undertake the development of innovative projects. Software Academy has worked on many different projects, both educational and commercial for corporations and institutions. Software Academy concentrates on digital innovative & creative technologies. Industry-standard tools are used continuously and taught at Software Academy for real-time 3D applications, as well as digital design, 3D visualisations & programming.
