Hi, I'm Becky and I'm a junior doctor living in Bristol and I'll be applying for surgical training in November. In my work, I love being part of a big ward-based team, teaching medical students and junior colleagues, and getting my hands dirty in the operating theatre! As a medical student, I was part of a team that organised a high altitude medical research expedition to Bolivia and enjoyed combining my passions of medicine and the mountains. Before studying medicine at Edinburgh University, I studied at Stanford University in California for four years - playing loads of hockey whilst studying Human Biology and Modern Languages. Outside of work I still play hockey (probably too much) and love to be outdoors doing anything adventurous - climbing, mountaineering, hiking, running, cycling, you name it!
