Founded in 1740, the University of Pennsylvania, or UPenn as it is often shortened to, is a research-focused Ivy League university. Its leafy campus is located just over a mile from the centre of Philadelphia, allowing for regular visits to attractions as part of the course’s social programme.
Entrepreneurship and innovation in an Ivy League University
Young Entrepreneurs at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia introduces students aged 14-17 to key business concepts. At this prestigious Ivy League university, ranked 10th in the world (Times World University Rankings, 2018), students will delve into analytics, management, marketing and finance.
Students will develop the skills they need to become the business leaders of tomorrow while pitting themselves against likeminded students from around the world in a series of business based challenges. Each week contains 15 hours of classroom-based tuition in business and innovation, with another 10 hours per week dedicated to team challenges, where students compete to find out who has the most entrepreneurial flair.
Students will also have the opportunity to explore the USA, including visiting New York and Washington D.C. for full-day excursions. They will also see American businesses first hand, such as Hershey’s World.
