This week has been packed with fun activities and exciting day trips! Wednesday was the day in which a photo scavenger hunt took place where the veterans and newbies got to play together in order to discover Oxford. A trip to Brighton was on our schedule on Friday and everyone got to enjoy and explore it in their free time after a visit to the marvellous Brighton Aquarium!
The students at Pembroke College, Oxford got to experience the very first outdoor cinema on campus. What premiered that night were the videos shot by the students themselves! Since it was a red carpet event everyone dressed to impress and won their own mini Oscars for the amazing work that they’ve done during journalism week. The party we had afterwards was memorable as three of our students reinvented Bucksmore fashion by wearing bathrobes with sunglasses and Hawaiian flower necklaces that lighted up!
On the hottest Monday we went to the UK’s capital city, London! The scholars rose and shined early that morning, ate breakfast and prepared to have an epic day. At 12:30pm we were going on the London Eye and eating lunch. After seeing the city from the sky we started heading toward the London’s Museum, during that forty five minute walk we got to sightsee different attractions. The ten groups that managed to put together awesome projects, presented them on stage and voted for a chance to win this week’s best presentation award. At 5pm we were already on our way back. Dinner time came and passed so graduation time finally arrived! Ms. and Mr. Bucksmore were announced and everyone started saying their good-byes. Just like that, another astounding week at Pembroke passed.
