Plumpton College leaps into week 3!
Week three brought us new friends and a new exciting activities timetable to dive straight into with our fun welcome games and races on Tuesday evening.
The sun shone brightly on Wednesday afternoon as we headed to Brighton beach for a scavenger hunt to look for beach paraphernalia among the pebbles and enjoyed games and shopping on the Palace Pier. Later that evening we competed again in a STEAM challenge to build some famous UK landmarks. Everyone worked creatively and cooperatively in their teams and it was certainly a tough decision for the judges in the end, but their could only be one winner and the team that recreated Wembley Stadium incorporated some fantastic details into their model and were declared the champions.
We explored an educational visit to the Natural History and Science Museums in London on Thursday, enjoying the interactive displays and exhibits. Friday night fun came in the form of the Bucksmore Crazy Olympics with students competing against each other in some fun relay races with a twist.
Our Saturday excursion was to the historic town of Canterbury, where we saw the famous cathedral from our fun and informative river boat punting tour and later enjoyed some free shopping time before returning to Plumpton for Jeopardy game show night.
As week three comes to a close with a fun English Village Fete afternoon and the graduation disco we are once again sad to say goodbye to a fantastic group of students but also excited to welcome our new week four Bucksmore summer students who we’re sure will enjoy our new activities and excursions timetable while making new friends and long lasting memories.
