On 28th June, the first students arrived to Brasenose College to begin their university experience on the Oxford Advanced Studies Programme. After settling in and getting to know one another with Welcome Games on Tuesday night, students headed to bed, ready to begin an exciting week!

On Wednesday morning, tutorial lessons began. It was great to see so many students with different interests undertaking tuition in everything from Medicine to Marketing, to Politics to Architecture! In the afternoon, students went on a tour of the various Oxford University Colleges and had the opportunity to explore the historic city of Oxford and of course, there was some shopping involved!

Thursday was a full day of lessons beginning with tutorials in the morning followed by 1:1 supervisions in the afternoon during which students had the opportunity to discuss their plans for their future academic paths. After a hard days’ work, the evening was spent at University Parks for sports and games in the evening sunshine.

As dawn broke on Friday morning, our students were filled with new anticipation with an exciting trip to Oxford’s equivalent city, Cambridge! After a pleasant coach journey, students arrived at immediately began on a University walking tour, during which there were plenty of interesting facts and information about Cambridge University to be had. After a short break, students moved on to visit the Fitzwilliam Museum, home to stunning collections of art, ancient artefacts and more. There was also a trip to King’s College where students could take in the charming river views and the breathtaking chapel.

Once back in Oxford, students had a late dinner and a chilled evening watching a movie followed by bed ready for another busy day tomorrow which involves a trip to London!
