Forensic Science

Forensic science and Criminology combine the application of science to criminal and civil laws on admissible evidence and criminal procedure, with the scientific study of nature of criminal behaviour, both on individual and social levels. Forensic scientists collect, preserve, and analyse scientific evidence during an investigation – either at the scene of the crime or in the laboratory. Criminology is an interdisciplinary field in both the behavioural and social sciences, which draws primarily upon the research of sociologists, psychologists, philosophers, psychiatrists, biologists, social anthropologists, as well as scholars of law.
