Tonbridge delivers presentations like pros!
Monday the 22nd was a memorable day for all. The Young Leaders went on an enlightening trip to London. The trip began with an informative yet highly enjoyable, walking tour consisting of a visit to Tower Hill followed by a beautiful stroll in the sun along Tower Bridge, eventually ending up at Hay’s Galleria where the Young Leaders had an hour of free time to relax, socialise and prepare for their upcoming project presentations.
We then walked over to the Museum of London’s breath-taking Weston Theatre where the groups presented their admirable business propositions they had put enormous amounts of time, effort and intelligence into which was visible from the quality of their presentations; each more well-thought and impressive than the previous which made deciding on a winning team extremely difficult for the judges. Towards the end of the presentations, it was apparent that the students needed and deserved some more time to relax, shop and take in the warm London air.
Therefore, we walked over to St Paul’s where the students spread out and did some therapeutic shopping, for some this meant visiting the local Sainsbury’s and stocking up on crisps and popcorn whereas others went to a café or restaurant in order to try and experience the true British cuisine. Overall, we would call this another successful trip with equal amounts of work and play!
