Tonbridge try their hand at Trash Fashion!
With the upcoming departure of our first group of the Young Leaders Summer Programme here in Bucksmore Education, the activity manager Mr Niels planned and set up the activity Trash Fashion, which allowed our students to transform their daily working space into a fashion arena.
Creative thinking in combination with already practiced organizational and managerial skills proved to the formula for our students, who all participated and enjoyed themselves in this activity.
The planning team – the activity manager with several counsellors, provided the necessary material and the students took it from there. In just 1.5 hours of work what was once a pile of paper, paint and one piece of cloth, turned into an avant-garde fashion show. We also announced the winner of the best ready-to-wear trash fashion garment – Arina!
It is important for us to allow our students the creative and fun outlets, so that their focus on the weekly projects could be clear and stress free. Trash fashion activity – a proven success.
