Coding requires a minimum of intermediate (B1) level English.


This course is suitable for students ages 14-17.

coding experience

Previous experience using Javascript is a plus but not necessary as Bucksmore students have free access to Codeworks 'Introduction to Javascript' course to learn or brush up on the basics prior to enrolling on the course.

Academic Information

Workshops are delivered by Codeworks, leading international provider of coding boot camps.  Each day involves 1.5 hours of live lectures on a new programming topic, followed by 1.5 hours of collaborative coding with an instructor.

During the first week, students build an Instagram clone, and during the second week, the class chooses a custom app to build together. All participants get access to a pre-course before joining, and upon course completion receive the GitHub Developer Pack to continue coding. What is the course structure?

Students will have 40 hours of contact time over two-weeks, including 15 hours of coding workshops and 15 hours of coding project work, plus eight hours of skills and careers workshops and two hours of guest speakers. Add a digital internship

 For students looking to take that extra-step towards their dream job, you can choose to add a 3-day or 4-day online internship. Bucksmore has partnered with immersive career experience provider, InvestIN, to offer an immersive experience into the life of a computer scientist. Available after the second week of the Bucksmore Coding programme​ and at a special price for Bucksmore students​, the internship is a mixture of interactive simulations, exercises and Q&A sessions.
