What is the Home Tuition English Exam Preparation programme?
Welcome to our truly unique Home Tuition course in the UK and Ireland. On a home tuition course the student lives and learns at the home of their teacher.
The entire programme, from accommodation to lessons, takes place in the relaxed and immersive environment of the teacher’s home, with excursions to local places of interest.
Each student is carefully matched to their ideal teacher by our dedicated team. Courses are designed by our professional teachers to meet the academic needs of the student, enabling faster progress than in a traditional school environment.

Katrin Jaekel
DELTAKatrin is a DELTA qualified teacher specialising in English Immersion and Exam Preparation courses including FCE, IELTS and CAE. Katrin lives in the seaside town of Poole, just 10 minutes from Bournemouth. Her surroundings area offers plenty to do including beach walks and horse riding in the New Forest National Park.
Chloe Turner
TESOL, BA History of ArtChloe has been teaching English for 11 years and has a lot of experience in teaching all levels from beginner to advanced, as well as exam courses including IELTS, FCE, CAE and TOEFL.
Folkestone is a wonderful town, with a fantastic old high street where you can find independent shops, cafes, galleries and boutiques. It also has a stunning coastline, from which you can see France.
Pauline Chapman
TEFL, PGCEPauline is an experienced TEFL teacher in the UK and Italy; all levels and ages. Pauline has taught all the Cambridge examinations and also scientific/medical English. She lives in the heart of the Sussex countryside, in a small village called Yapton. There is a selection of shops, a pub, village hall and village green. It is a small and friendly community.
Katie Buckland
PGCE, TEFLKatie is a qualified and experienced teacher of English language. She has taught young people from age 7-19 years old, and spent five years teaching in a Special Needs school, focusing on students with dyslexia. She lives in the small town of Hawkhurst, situated south east of London in the county of Kent. It is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty due to the stunning countryside around.
Excursions
Our Home Tuition courses include two half-day plus one full day excursion per week. They are fully bespoke and subject to your preference and the teacher's location. Here are some of the destinations you can choose from.
Oxford: Museum of Oxford
On this half-day excursion you will visit the only museum all about Oxford. The Museum tells the story of Oxford and its people through a range of social history objects and interactive displays.
London: Buckingham Palace & Politics Walking Tour
You will embark on a walking tour of key locations relating to London’s rich political and royal history.
You’ll also visit the historic vibrant market area of Covent Garden. Following lunch you will enjoy a tour of the magnificent State Rooms of Buckingham Palace.
Oxford: Christ Church College
On this half-day excursion you will visit Christ Church College, an Oxford college and a city Cathedral sharing a unique historic space.
You’ll discover that Christ Church is an academic institution and a place of great historical significance.
Cambridge
Visit Cambridge and experience its historic waterways via a punting trip on the River Cam.
You will also have time to explore one of the 31 Colleges that make up the University of Cambridge – King’s College – founded by King Henry VI in 1441.

Travel and transfers
From the moment you land in the UK, we want to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible. We are able to offer a transfer service to the destination of your teacher at an additional cost.
If you are using an unaccompanied minor service, you will be accompanied by airport staff to one of our trusted taxi drivers on arrival. Our trusted taxi drivers will do the same on departure.
