What is an Adventure Summer Camp?
An adventure summer camp combines outdoor activities and personal growth, focusing on excitement, skill development, and teamwork.
At Bucksmore, our summer adventure camps take this further by blending English language learning with thrilling activities like kayaking, rock climbing, and orienteering. These experiences not only offer a break from studies but also enhance focus and concentration for English lessons.
Beyond the academic element, your child will build lasting friendships, improve their confidence, and develop key skills like problem-solving and leadership. It’s a dynamic mix of learning, adventure, and personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Our very special Summer Camp
This course is designed for young, motivated students who want more than just English language tuition from their summer. Thrill-seeking students participate in at least two off-site adventure activities per week. Taking place in the local area, students are accompanied to the best facilities on offer in the South Coast of England.
Activities such as sailing, indoor climbing, windsurfing, high ropes, kayaking, paddle boarding, and rafting help to develop students confidence, teamworking and resilience skills in a fun and engaging setting. In addition to the Adventure activities the course aims to develop English language skills through a variety of engaging sessions, including academic tutorials, group projects, conversation classes, and hands-on excursions that take learning outside the classroom.
Our course also builds strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork, creativity, and confidence through project-based learning and mentorship.
Student progress is tracked and assessed at the end of each course by Bucksmore Assessment, an evaluation tool developed in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scale.

Our Students

My favourite thing about my course was the Adventure activities; sailing and zip-lining were so good!

The staff were amazing; they really care about us. I feel at home here.
